A NEW AND
FRESH APPROACH
|
|
HOUSEKEEPING, PORTERAGE & SUPPORT SERVICES
While working in close partnership with hospital staff, Medicare relieves them of these direct responsibilities, while ensuring exemplary levels of support services consistent with the unique requirements of health care providers. Medicare provides a full and comprehensive cleaning service, contributing towards the essential control of infection and cross infection throughout the hospital, including the wards.
Trained staff can also be provided to undertake food and beverage service on the wards, and a washing up service to aid the catering staff. Porterage provides an important logistical service with regular direct contact with patients. Our porters are selected to relate with and be sympathetic to patient needs, and trained to provide a caring and efficient service. Reception/visitor control is a further service provided by Medicare, which, like all services, can be part of an overall package, or supplied in isolation. |

TRAINING
Medicare places great emphasis on training and is committed to an "Investors in People" programme sponsored by the Training and Enterprise Council. The scheme provides formalised induction before the start of any new contract, and an individual training plan for each employee with annual reviews and assessment.
HEALTH & SAFETY
A significant element of induction and continuing training of all operatives and on-site supervision covers all aspects of health and safety, including the company's comprehensive codes of practice within the overall health and safety policy.
Part of Medicare's good practice policy also embraces environmental awareness, to minimise waste and adopt conservation procedures. |
